Honest, my show was not meant to be a non-stop homage to dead people. But a lot of good ones have died recently. Since my last show, the world lost singer Blossom Dearie. Although she had a decent career in jazz, she is probably best known to my generation as the woman who sang "Figure 8" on Schoolhouse Rock.
